Biggest Poker Tournament In New Orleans Won By Andy Hwang

The final World Series of Poker Circuit stop of the 2011-2012 season, that will be held at Harrah's New Orleans located right next to French Quarter. This year clash series runs from May 10-21, 2012.

New Orleans became a favorite destination of the players and regulars on the WSOP Circuit. For the past eight seasons, it has been the last whirl of a long poker symphony. 

However, this year, it covers up seventeen WSOP Circuit event; the reason of thousands players all over the United States have been attracted. This is the last chance of the players to earn points, and to qualify for this year's National Championship.

In New Orleans, the first fight in “The Big Easy” with record of 945-Player Field opens. Everyone knows the opportunity of WSOP finale would be great. Even so, no one can predict who will be going to win at Harrah's New Orleans for opening day.

The first dozen of gold ring events - $355 buy-in No-Limit Hold'em (Meeting#1) – bring a record colliding of 945 participants. The attendance held in there, is the largest poker contest ever, compare to last record of May 18,2005 called the “poker boom”; it has only 833 players.

Yung “Andy” Hwang from Houston, is the first gold ring winner in the series. For his reward, Hwang collected a total of $52,249, also; he presented his original WSOP Circuit gold ring – apogee prize for the winner of an event on the nation's arch tournament tour.

Andy moves into the top spot as the early leader in this WSOP Circuit's “Best All-Around Player” standings because of his victory in first match up. The player will receive a compensate entry into the 2011-2012 National Championship, if they acquire the overall points in Harrah's New Orleans' twelve combined gold ring tournaments. However, Hwang is essentially guaranteed a seat, based on his total points.

At least, two players from this series will be qualified to win a WSOP gold bracelet event, and the other will automatically be qualified as a winner of the Championship (to be held May 19-22). 11 more gold rings are remaining that being billed as a “12rings in 12 days” poker series.
